Day 10/365: Sky-Watching & More

I really don't trust California weather forecasts anymore. But, I'm pretty happy it wasn't raining today! Sunny weather meant I could go outside and take some outdoor shots. Here are my favorite day 10 photographs:

Along with these, I started taking the majority of my sterling silver photo necklace photos today, and I'm not hating what I have. I still need to retake some, but I'm hoping have them all ready to go by Sunday so I can start heavy promoting!

Day 9/365: Closing Up

So today's photos are kind of sporadic. I just finished the majority of my first sterling silver photo necklace collection, and I'm pretty darn stoked. However, I'm still trying to figure out how to best photograph the necklaces. A few days ago I took some test shots, and though I do like them, I still want something more unique and visually appealing. I took some quick shots of an idea I had, some shots of Corona hiding behind our mirror and some photographs of a painting for my mum.

I ended up narrowing down all three images down to two frames, one close-up and one further shot. I thought it was interesting that that's how it ended up being for all three, and it made me realize that in the end most of the time that's what you have to decide between as a photographer. To either go with the close-up or not. But I leave it up to you to pick a better image, here are all the shots:

I'm definitely looking forward to photographing the necklaces tomorrow, it's going to be oh-so-very-much fun. So make sure to check back then!

Day 8/365: Planting

I had a long today today, and left home only to realize an hour later that I'd forgotten my camera at home! So many missed moments! I was pretty bummed every time I saw a good photo moment, but I was happy to still be able to get some shot from home.

And yup, I know, I'm a major plant lover!

Day 7/365: A Couple Quick Shots

I didn't have very much time to photograph today, so many things to do! But I managed to pull off a couple quick shots between everything else I had going on, and came out with these:

Find 4x6 prints of them for sale at the ZoiShop Etsy.

Days 5&6/365: Surroundings

The past two days have been, well a bit cold honestly, but filled with so much sunshine that I dedicated day 5 and 6 of my 365 photography project to simply photographing some of my surroundings.

CircaCeramics: Whimsical Creations

My boyfriend, Joe, and I are both photographers, and I'm loving the idea of having matching camera mugs. I found these by CircaCeramics on Etsy.com and thought they were just awesome!

CircaCeramics have a variety of mugs (as well as bowls, magnets, plates & pendants) in styles featuring: bicycles, hummingbirds, an eyeball, skeleton, brain, and pencil among many other whimsical designs.

I love their merchandise because they put a fresh spin to common household items, and their color choices are great.
