On Instagram
Joe came home the other night with the surprise of having gotten us each a badly needed new phone. After a year of having a touch screen phone that I couldn't actually use the touch screen on, I finally upgraded to an iPhone and I'm so loving it.
One of my favorite features is the apps library. I am especially diggin' Instagram, which lets you take a photograph and give it a nifty tint then share it with your followers. I'd really been wanting to try out for a while, but didn't have a smart phone to do so on until now.
I really love the notion of photography updates versus simply word updates, which can only be expected with a photographer, right? It also allows entrepreneurs to share their work visually with potential buyers.
It's interesting and useful to be able to show what you're working on visually so people can actually see your emerging ideas rather than read about them, which is a much, much faster way of communicating.
Do you have Instagram? If you do, I'd love to follow your photographically journey. Anyone can follow me by searching for ZoiShop or Sandra Proudman through your Instagram app.
p.s. What are your plans for the weekend loves? Joe and I have yet to figure out what our Halloween adventures will be!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women, after lung cancer. According to Komen.org, there are approximately 2.5 million survivors today. I am hoping that my most likely future mother-in-law, who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer, will soon be to that survivor count. The fact that someone so close to my sister is currently suffering from breast cancer has definitely brought to mind that it has been breast cancer awareness month. It's definitely helped open my eyes to how amazing survivors are to have endured so much.
Joe and I have kept an eye open toward all possible ways to help raise funds for breast cancer research from purchasing participating groceries at Safeway to submitting Yoplait cap pins to making treasuries on Etsy.com that link back to Komen.org. I'm also hoping we have a bit to donate at the end of the month.
This is the really the first time that I've tried to be active in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, and it's felt really good. As the year goes on I hope to be able to do more, maybe even join a race.
What are your breast cancer awareness month stories loves? What are ways you've found to help?

Gone Grape
I took some grape photographs today, and I'm super stoked about how they came out. The following is one of the photographs from the set. I love the toning and feminine feel to how it came out. What do y'all think?
